Before You Add, Subtract
The instinct when things feel off, whether with your workflow, your calendar, your career, your life, is to add something. A new tool. A new project. A new system.
But often, clarity doesn’t come from adding. It comes from subtracting.
If your calendar’s a mess, maybe you don’t need a new planner. Maybe you need fewer meetings. If your brand feels scattered, maybe it’s not a rebrand you need. Maybe it’s removing the extra offerings that dilute your message. If you’re overwhelmed, maybe you don’t need more productivity hacks. Maybe you need to say no.
Subtraction is uncomfortable because it asks you to let go of things you’ve already invested in. But it also creates space. For focus, for rest, for the right things to grow.
Start small. One obligation. One tool. One mental tab. Remove something, and notice what it creates space for.
