III Points Announces 2023 Lineup

III Points Festival is making a highly anticipated return to Wynwood on October 20th and 21st, celebrating a major milestone. As the festival marks its 10th anniversary, there’s no denying the significant impact it has had on South Florida’s counterculture music scene. Over the years, III Points has become an integral part of Miami’s cultural landscape, solidifying its position as a landmark event for the region’s music community. This year’s edition promises to be a vibrant celebration of the festival’s decade-long journey while providing a glimpse into an exciting future.

Since the festival’s first year in 2013, III Points has celebrated the Miami community and all of the city’s amazing offerings in many ways. Every year, III Points has featured local Miami artists on its lineup, providing them with a platform to showcase their work to a wider audience while also organizing art shows and music events for additional local performance opportunities.

Having taken shape over just the course of a few months for its inaugural edition in 2013, Miami’s distinct character and Wynwood’s emerging identity have since helped III Points land itself in a category apart from commercialized events, though still unparalleled in size and attendance amongst many household names. Throughout the coming months leading up to III Points’ monumental decennial year, the festival will continue to amplify its love and appreciation for the Miami community, while embodying its commitment to showcasing diverse and groundbreaking musicians from across the globe.

The headliners alone represent opposite ends of the musical spectrum, featuring rising star Fred Again.., the legendary “Godfather of Punk” Iggy Pop, and the phenomenally talented producer Skrillex, who has been on a hot streak of acclaimed performances in 2023. Adding to the allure, the conceptual artist Grimes will bring her unique Elf.Tech ARt rAIve experience to Miami, while South African superstar Black Coffee prepares to deliver a classic set of his own. The rest of the lineup features an array of boundary-pushing artists from across the globe. From hip-hop legends Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, and on through Caribou, Jeff Mills, Âme B2B Dixon, TSHA, Gorgon City, SBTRKT, and more, attendees are in for a diverse and captivating musical experience.

III Points is known for delivering unforgettable moments and special collaborations, and this year will be no exception. One of the festival’s highlights will be the return of the Despacio party and sound system, created by James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem and David Dewaele and Stephen Dewaele of Soulwax. Despacio is renowned for its vinyl-only music standard and minimalist visuals, creating an immersive and visceral experience. With its powerful 50,000-watt sound system playing throughout the weekend, III Points attendees can anticipate unforgettable dance-floor moments curated by some of the industry’s most acclaimed masterminds.

Reflecting on the growth and challenges of staying ahead of the curve, III Points Co-Founder David Sinopoli shares his thoughts: “Being ahead of the curve hasn’t been easy and has required taking risks. We set out on a mission 10 years ago to build something different in Miami that the counterculture here can identify with. This initiative is flourishing because of all the artists and fans that have supported this idea over the past 10 years.”
