About This Project

We were hired by the University of Miami’s UHealth Pediatrics at Holtz Children’s Hospital to brighten up the atmosphere of their pediatric clinic. The project involved transforming the exam rooms, waiting area, and the large open connecting area with an engaging under-the-sea theme. We brought on artist Jorge Rodriguez to create a vibrant array of sea creatures and characters, making the environment more welcoming for young patients and staff.

Our team contributed to the creative direction and decided to use a mix of painted murals on the top half of the walls and vinyl printed wallpaper on the bottom halves. This approach was chosen because the lower sections of the walls are more prone to wear and tear, and vinyl can be easily and cost-effectively replaced compared to repainting. The project successfully enhanced the clinic’s atmosphere, making it a more cheerful and comforting place for children and their families.

Holtz Children’s Hospital is part of the Jackson Memorial Medical Center and is renowned for its comprehensive pediatric care, treating a wide range of conditions with a multidisciplinary approach​.
