Thrill the Ones You Already Have
Another in the series of posts inspired by my second read of Derek Sivers’ Anything You Want:
It feels counterintuitive, but the best way to grow isn’t chasing new customers, it’s thrilling the ones you already have.
This is advice I’ve ignored at times. The chase for new leads, new audiences, new partnerships feels exciting. But the truth is, every step forward I’ve made has come from deepening relationships with the people already around me. A client who brings me back for another project. An artist who introduces me to a collaborator. A supporter who spreads the word because they felt taken care of.
When you focus on the people already in your circle, you create ripples that reach further than cold outreach ever could. Growth stops being about the hunt and starts being about resonance.
